You can keep your cleaning machine running at peak performance with a minimal amount of service required.

In all cases refer to your owner manual for service recommendations and safety requirements.
 

Vacuum Cleaners:
Read the owner manual which comes with every machine
Daily: Keep your machine clean and check the following items:
   
Inspect all hoses, tools and power cords for damage or wear
    Check that the filter bag is in good condition and not over-full, change if necessary
    For upright machines, check roller brush at base for debris, remove debris if necessary
Refer to your owner manual if your are having difficulties, the answer is usually in the contents
    Most common source of service requests and causes:
    Vacuum motor shutting itself down- bag is full or hose is plugged, clean, let the machine sit 5 minutes to cool down
    No suction- Debris lodged in floor tool, wand or hose. Filter bag full or dirty filters
    Poor suction- Hole in hose, also debris causing partial suction loss through blockage
    Poor cleaning results: Debris around roller brush on upright models
    Dirty, wet or damaged filters- All models, moisture will damage dry canister and upright vacuum cleaners
    Paper bags splitting- Overfilling or moisture introduction. Moisture will damage dry canister and vacuum cleaners
    NT vacs electronic motor shut-off probes dirty, machine shutting down prematurely
    NT Power filter clean not working, move to a different power outlet in building, there may be low voltage in
    electrical outlet(s). If using an extension cord make sure it is of sufficient capacity
Every 6 months: Have a qualified service technician check the motor carbon brushes for wear

Automatic Floor Scrubbers:
Read the owner manual which comes with every machine
Daily: Keep your machine clean and check the following items:
   
Inspect all hoses, clean brushes and squeegees, check all these items for damage or wear
    Clean dirty solution tank, allow to ventilate before closing machine lid
    Check fluid level in batteries, check all battery connection cables for tightness
    Charge batteries, be sure to let the charge finish before using machine again
Weekly, Monthly, Annually: As prescribed in the owner manual for your particular model
Be aware drive system and vacuum motors have carbon brushes which should be checked
every 6 months for wear by a qualified service technician.

    not being watered

    Poor cleaning results: Debris wound around brushes, blockage in squeegee tool or hoses, worn brushes,
    not using sufficient detergent, incorrect squeegee tool angle settings, solution feed lines and manifolds plugged,
    hopper full on sweep/scrub models, operator trying to clean too fast
    Fuses blowing: Debris wound around cleaning brushes
    Damaged or bent components: Excessive cleaning speeds, abuse, lack of operator training

Sweepers:
Read the owner manual which comes with every machine
Daily: Keep your machine clean and check the following items:

   
Inspect for debris wound around main and side brooms
    Insect the dust filter to determine if it is clean
   
Check fluid level in batteries, check all battery connection cables for tightness
    Charge batteries, be sure to let the charge finish before using machine again
   
Check engine oil and air cleaner on internal combustion models
    Check hydraulic fluid on models so equipped
Weekly, Monthly, Annually:
As prescribed in the owner manual for your particular model

We recommend arranging a pre-arranged preventative maintenance service contract with your local dealer
for any battery-operatedor internal combustion cleaning equipment. Service doesn't "cost", it pays.
